§ The diagnostic
What has your company actually proven?
The diagnostic is a structured look at one company or venture, built on the Four Proofs from the book. You answer a set of questions in English or Norwegian and send the evidence behind your answers. You get back what has been proven, what is still an assumption, and the one thing worth testing before your next commitment.
Where it stands
I am developing and testing the diagnostic this autumn with a cohort of twenty startups in Oslo. Places outside the cohort are limited while the method is being tested, and the people who register their interest below hear first.
Who it is for
- Founders facing a big commitment: a raise, a market entry, a rebuild or a hiring plan.
- Startup programmes that want to see where each company in a cohort stands, with evidence.
- Investors and family offices, before an investment or when following up a portfolio.
- Corporate ventures and innovation projects before the next stage-gate. A version for internal ventures is in development.
If you are earlier than that, start with the book.
What you get
A written report on what the evidence shows for each proof, where the company's view of its own stage differs from what it has proven, and where the team sees things differently from each other. It ends with the next proof to secure and a cheap way to test it.
